The Business Development Leader – Corrosion and Structural Strengthening will drive profitable sales growth of the corrosion and structural strengthening products, FRP systems in the US market through strategic planning, hands-on relationship building and implementation of sales programs by leveraging sales, marketing and technical services to accelerate success. Must have knowledge of this product range and its market.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Implement strategic sales plans as outlined by the National Sales Director - CRS to realize corporate goals.
  • Conduct market research to determine customer and corporate product needs by market channel, coordinating with National Sales Director - CRS to establish corporate strategy and technology development.
  • Conduct sales presentations to key clients and prospective customers, while coordinating with the Sales Representatives; sell MAPEI solutions with an emphasis on hands-on demonstrations using samples and showcasing saleable product features through consultative selling approach.
  • Function as the point of contact for Field Sales within MAPEI Corp.
  • Responsible for development and intro of all corrosion control and structural strengthening products, in collaboration with PLM and R&D, to include effective launch strategy, development of product literature (including technical data sheets), training functions, inventory support, strategic marketing strategies and field acceptance resulting in sales objective achievement.
  • Meet with key clients (Design Professionals, Contractors, Distributors), assisting the Sales Representatives while further developing and maintaining relationships and negotiating business opportunities.
  • Identify and build a comprehensive engineering and contractors' network, increasing sales opportunities available in each key metropolitan territory.
  • Provide engineering design assistance (peer review), utilize CFRP design software, application support to field sales through client education/ consultation, engineering presentations, applicator education, field demonstrations, jobsite support, and create PDH technical presentations and tools required for sales.
  • Work with PLM in the development of new innovative products and system solutions within the CRS business.
  • Evaluate and assist in the resolution of product claims as they relate to corrosion control and structural strengthening range of products.
  • Participate in MAPEI tradeshows to demonstrate product, showcase features/benefits and to promote MAPEI brand awareness.
  • Participation in ACI 440 and/ or other key committees, keeping MAPEI at the forefront of the industry.
  • Actively participate in Local, Regional and National Trade Associations to gain Leadership position.
  • Conform and abide to all MAPEI policies, work procedures, safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) Engineering, plus 7 years related commercial-related industry/construction materials sales and/or technical management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This role will require moderate to high travel at times.
  • Valid driver license and good driving record.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish and/or Italian) a plus.
  • Certification goals
  • - US: CSI, CDT, LEED-AP
  • Membership(s) involvement: ICRI (local/national), SWR, CSI, AIA, and/or other industry related organizations.
